Every state has drunk driving laws. Most states refer to drunk driving as DUI; some states refer to drunk driving as DWI; still others refer to drunk driving as OUI, OWI, DUII, DWAI, OUIL or OMVI. But no matter what you call it, the consequences are potentially severe: jail, fines, loss of driver’s license, required ignition interlock devices, attendance at alcohol education programs, lectures given by MADD, SADD, or RADD, community service or freeway cleanup, increased car insurance rates, a criminal conviction, and more.
All 50 states and the District of Columbia have per se laws defining it as a crime to drive with a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) at or above a proscribed level, 0.08 percent. Forty-five states permit some offenders to drive only if their vehicles have been equipped with ignition interlocks. These devices analyze a driver’s breath and disable the ignition if the driver has been drinking. In 30 states, multiple offenders may forfeit vehicles that are driven while impaired by alcohol.
Each year, states enact stronger DUI laws and more severe drunk driving penalties. You could lose your driver’s license, be placed in jail and fined substantial fees. Your car insurance rates may rise and you could end up with a criminal conviction on your record that could impact your future and your employment opportunities.

Arizona DUI Laws
Something I’d Like to Know?
can understand why Hispanics protest and demonstrate against the AZ immigration law. What I wonder about, though, is how many of the other delusional people backing them up live — or try to live — in a neighborhood, town or city taken over by illegal Hispanic immigrants, or at the very least have significantly influenced such communities. I’d wager that MOST non-Hispanics who snivel and whine about racism, constitutional rights, the goodness of man, ad nauseum, exist far outside the bounds of reality and the actual experience of living with people who, with some exceptions, have no regard for the law nor the rights of others.
Over and over again the US Constitution is cited as reason to strike down the Arizona self-preservation law. Okay, when is the US Constitution going to protect ME against the murder, rape, robbery, identity theft, and DUI inundation perpetrated by people who were born and raised in a society where such brutality is often viewed as “…just being macho.”
I’m Latino, Democrat, Gay, and I support this Arizona law!
The fact is, illegal aliens have “more” rights than gay people. Illegal aliens can see their opposite sex partners in hospitals, and up until just 2 weeks ago when Obama signed an executive order allowing same-sex couples to see one another in hospitals, same sex couples would have been continually barred from seeing one another. Illegal aliens can marry an American citizen, gay people cannot marry in most states in the US. Illegal aliens can march on Washington and request some type of amnesty from a president who supports selective amnesty, gay people can march on Washington, but Obama doesn’t support same sex marriage.
Illegal aliens broke the law entering our country and are using their “anchor babies” (born here in the US) to anchor onto benefits that taxpayers pay for which include: public housing, free rent, food stamps, and free healthcare (when they go to emergency room, guess who pays? YOU!). Additionally, there’s nothing to stop them from having more kids in order to convince a judge to let them stay in the US. On the other hand, many states don’t allow gay Americans to adopt children.
Illegal aliens should all be deported now. We need to end birthright citizenship, and deny illegals social services. Americans are ultimately left to pick up the bill for the billions in services they receive for free all the while paying nothing into the system and send all their earned money back to Mexico to help our their country, not ours.
Citizens paying taxes into the system, regardless of sexual orientation, should come FIRST before illegal aliens who are leaving struggling Americans footing the bill. Illegal aliens are also blatantly disregarding our citizenship laws, that is, the LEGAL and the RIGHT way to enter our country and are abusing the public assistance system to their advantage. This needs to stop NOW!

Is the Arizona immigration law like the DUI laws?
So why are not pro drink drivers protesting as well.
If a cop sees a car driving all over the place and stops some guy and he looks intoxicated and stinks of alcohol then he can give him a sobriety test.
If a cop sees a car doing the same and stops a guy who has no license, registration, insurance and cant speak english isint that reasonable suspicon that he is an illegal.
Why are the immigration laws consistently overlooked as being laws.
Should people who break just one law not get in trouble for it?
